you play as gordon freeman, a scientist, after getting late for work and heading to the teleportation experiments, of course, using your hev suit for protection, something goes wrong, and the teleporter goes crazy, a lot of your coworkers dies, some have the bless of surviving, you need to scape out of there with the arsenal you find, but the army really dont like the idea of people knowing the aliens were there, so you have to fight the army too, + you find out that before the invasion, the black mesa, were you work, was already doing experiments on the aliens, not so nice, eh? well, anyways, in the end, to stop the invasion, you go to the home planet of the aliens and kill the giant fetus that wes controlling some of the enemies, after killing the fetus, a strange man in a suit, known as gman, give you a "choice", participating in his plans, or death, unfortunetly, the people lucky to be alive, werent so lucky, but this is a story for the sequel.
the first somewhat tatical shooter, can you even call it a boomer shooter? sure, there is bhop, but thats a bug not a feature, but its an actually good and fun tatical shooter, cuz it has some fantasie with him, cuz real life is boring, in real life i have to do grocery list, real life isnt fun, half-life is, its kinda lengthy, can get some good hours to finish, nothing 90s jrpg level of length, thank goodness, but it will be a good experience, i dont have any beef with xen as well, its fine, i think xen needed more stuff exploring the alien life, the story is great and valve idea of using no cutscenes was great, you can interact during scenes, walk, use stuff, kill the man talking and losing and having to reset the save, its great, i want to play half life 2 recently, but 1 is still great, side to side with doom with the most fun online out there, a online were dying is still fun in a way, you die and kill constantly, playing online is a must go as well, dont worry about learning bhop, just kill the other lads.
